Chez Sven B&B Celebrates Five Years in Business |
|
Chez Sven Bed & Breakfast, offering charming green accommodation in Cape Cod's art gallery town, will celebrate five years in business this winter. |
Guests enjoy an international experience unique on Cape Cod. Chez Sven's owners offer the best of both worlds: expert local advice and comforts based on European norms and expectations. Alexandra Grabbe spent 25 years in France, Sven Rudstrom is a retired history professor from Sweden.
Chez Sven is proud to be one of the first green bed & breakfasts on the Outer Cape. Rudstrom and Grabbe provide amenities that are 100% natural. Guests sleep on 100% organic cotton sheets, laundered with non-toxic washing powder. The rooms have been maintained allergen-free for a dozen years.
Located in one of the oldest houses in Wellfleet, Chez Sven is tucked into the woods along Old King's Highway, a scenic dirt road used by tax collectors in colonial times. During renovation, Rudstrom found a 1798 Lady Liberty penny under the floor. Chez Sven's Liberty Coin Suite offers renovated rooms furnished with antiques and handcrafted period reproductions. Guests can also stay amid the flowers in Seagull Cottage, an independent building with a full kitchen.
Chez Sven Bed & Breakfast is within walking distance of the town center, the National Seashore Park, and several fresh water ponds. Atlantic Ocean beaches are two miles away. Great hiking trails and a bike trail exist close by.
Breakfast includes freshly baked bread with tomatoes from the vegetable garden, homemade organic yogurt and granola, Peace Coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
