Get your facts right
Dear Mr. Ferry
I have seldom read such a poorly informed article on climate change. I undertstand you are a butler trainer and not a climatologist. So I would like to invite you to read three extremely well researched books that will answer many of the points you have mentioned and misinterpreted:
1) The Weather Makers by Tim Flannery
2) Heat by George Monbiot and
3) Fieldnotes from a Catastrophe by Elizabeth Kolbert
Once you have done the appropriate research on the subject I'd be interested to hear your newly formed opinion- which will very probably converge with the 2000 international scientists who make up the IPCC. Particulalrly as the hospitality industry will be in the firing line over the coming decades as the effects of climate change are felt, and scapegoats are identified. This issue will prove to be one of the most radical catalysts for change in our industry over the coming years. I would strongly recommend that industry leaders buck up and find ways to reduce the carbon footprint of their companies - because as things stand we're in for a shock....that doesn't mean they should ignore the other environmental issues you mentioned. All that said the second part of your article about Codex Alimentarius was very interesting and highlighted a serious threat to people's health.
Best regards
Louis Thompson

Facts that do not satisfy
Thank you for the response. While I appreciate the provision of sources that contradict my position, I am interested in knowing which facts that I presented are materially incorrect.
Yes, I train butlers. But I am also a multi-published author who has personally been concerned about and following global warming as an issue since the late 1970s.

Poor Science
I find your assertion of being a "multi-published author" amusing. Stephen King is a "multi-published author", however I would not rely on Mr. King to disseminate information about climate change, nor would I look to you, especially based on the poor science you base your article on.

PS
Glad the Codex information was of use.

Milking Sacred Cows
Very informative and provoking for direct sectarian action to eliminate the dire consequences of Codex Alimentarius in the global repression of personal health and the conduct of hospitality services in F & B.
